Job summary

We are seeking production staff at Nidec Corporation for MIG and TIG welding of rotor cores, laminations, and brazing. You will set welders (speeds/feeds), inspect welds, and assist in assembling rotor components. The role requires attention to quality and safety and involves housekeeping duties in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Starting rates and shift premiums apply, with first, second, and third shift options. Eligible benefits include 401(k), paid holidays, and paid vacation.

Responsibilities

• Set welders with correct speeds/feeds and proper product setups.
• Inspect welded material to prevent rework.
• Assemble laminations to length and press/weld rotor cores.
• Weld rotor cores and measure coils to size, cut to length.
• Grind and clean rotor cores after welding.
• Brazing of copper poles and conduction rods.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader.

Work Shift Schedule

• 1st sift 7:00am – 3:30pm
• 2nd shift 3:30pm-10:30pm -work 35 hr > get paid for 40 hr PLUS 5% shift premium.
• 3rd shift 10:30pm-7:00am - 10% shift premium

Job Description Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Information: Makes correct settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setups of products to be welded
• Inspects quality of material being welded necessary to prevent rework
• Assembles laminations to lengths
• Presses and welds rotor cores
• Takes coils and measures to size, cuts to length, and puts ring in jigs and welds
• Grinds and cleans rotor cores after welding
• Brazes copper pole pates and copper conduction rods
• Exercises good housekeeping
• Observes required safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
