• Able to use precise measuring devices and set up own work.
• Experience with welding setup and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators.
• Corrects settings on welders, speeds and feeds, and setup.
• Inspects welded material quality to prevent rework.
• Performs daily/weekly TPM tasks and checksheets.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping in the work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.

Job Description

Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators. Also corrects settings, speeds, and feeds on welders including proper setup of product to be welded.

Duties & Responsibilities Information:

• Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generators
• Places stator core on mandrel, asssembles shell and rings
• Guages height and then tacks weld together
• Assembles and welds feet to frame and core assembly
• Corrects settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setup of product to be welded
• Inspects quality of material being welded to prevent rework
• Includes MIG welding
• Protects other employees from flash of arc which could cause damage to eyes
• Wears welding hood, gloves, and other protection as dictated
• Exercises good housekeeping in work area
• Observes good safety practices in performance of job
• Performs daily/weekly TPM tasks and completes checksheets
• Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader

Necessary Skills:

• Must be able to read complicated drawings, decimal dimensions on blueprints, utilize precise measuring devices and use to perform own setups
