Job summary

Nidec Corporation is seeking production staff to join our welding team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on rotor cores and related components, ensuring precise settings, quality outcomes, and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include inspection, assembly, brazing copper parts, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in a 1st/2nd/3rd shift environment with competitive starting rates and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write (Basic literacy for procedures)
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding processes preferred
• Attention to quality and safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Set weld parameters (speeds/feeds) and proper beam setups
• Inspect weld quality to prevent rework
• Assemble laminations to required lengths
• Press and weld rotor cores and components
• Measure coils, cut to length, and place rings in jigs for welding
• Grind and clean rotor cores after welding
• Brazing copper poles and conduction rods
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Shift Schedule and Pay

• 1st sift 7:00am – 3:30pm
• 2nd shift 3:30pm-10:30pm – work 35 hr > get paid for 40 hr PLUS 5% shift premium.
• 3rd shift 10:30pm-7:00am – 10% shift premium

Job Description Position Summary

Responsible for MIG and TIG welds to rotor cores, lamination rings, and brazing

Duties & Responsibilities

• Makes correct settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setups of products to be welded
• Inspects quality of material being welded necessary to prevent rework
• Assembles laminations to lengths
• Presses and welds rotor cores
• Takes coils and measures to size, cuts to length, and puts ring in jigs and welds
• Grinds and cleans rotor cores after welding
• Brazes copper pole pates and copper conduction rods
• Exercises good housekeeping
• Observes required safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
