Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking energetic individuals to join our production staff in the United States. Positions involve MIG and TIG welds on rotor cores and related components. Starting rates are $24.92 with a sign-on bonus, and $21.20 for production roles, with increases every 3 months up to a top out in 12 months.

Benefits begin Day 1 including health and retirement contributions. Shifts run 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with premiums for some shifts and overtime, all within a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Makes settings on welders including speeds and feeds and proper setups of products to be welded.
• Inspects quality of material being welded to prevent rework.
• Assembles laminations to lengths.
• Presses and welds rotor cores.
• Takes coils, measures to size, cuts to length, and places ring in jigs and welds.
• Grinds and cleans rotor cores after welding.
• Brazes copper pole plates and copper conduction rods.
• Practices good housekeeping and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader

Duties & Responsibilities Information

• Makes correct settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setups of products to be welded
• Inspects quality of material being welded necessary to prevent rework
• Assembles laminations to lengths
• Presses and welds rotor cores
• Takes coils and measures to size, cuts to length, and puts ring in jigs and welds
• Grinds and cleans rotor cores after welding
• Brazes copper pole pates and copper conduction rods
• Exercises good housekeeping
• Observes required safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
