Join to apply for the Welder (Aluminum) 2nd Shift role at MAC Trailer.

We are excited to be adding a welder to the MAC Trailer Team. Our welder position utilizes and implements acquired welding knowledge, experience, and skill to weld aluminum and steel materials and manufacturing parts and products for the tractor trailer industry.

Please note that shift hours are Mon - Fri 12pm - 10:30pm with additional overtime.

Wage Range: $21.50 - $28.25

What you will do:

Summary

Utilize and implement welding knowledge, experience, and skill to weld aluminum and steel materials for the tractor trailer industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily custom build fit/up build welding assignments according to quality and safety standards.
• Review and interpret specifications and drawings, adhering to safety instructions.
• Communicate safety and quality concerns to supervisors/managers.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area, manage materials and inventory.
• Use power hand tools and operate a hand crane for fitting and fabricating.
• Wear and doff safety equipment such as face shields, weld hoods, respirators, gloves.
• Organize and restock parts and materials.
• Assist in other areas as needed, including plumbing, mounting, assembly, wiring.
• May need proficiency in steel and/or aluminum MIG welding.

Who you are:

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:

• Successfully complete company weld testing.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to increase product knowledge and skills.
• Mechanical proficiency.
• Experience or knowledge in tractor trailer building or repair is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Work may require lifting over 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools and materials.
• Work from heights or ladders with fall protection as needed.
• Exposure to dust and noise typical of industrial environments.

Tier Level:

• Tier I: Entry level, under supervision.
• Tier II: Developed skills, supervisor checks work.
• Tier III: Mastered skills, works independently, trains others.
