Job summary

Barnes Group is seeking a TIG Welder for its Aerospace MRO division in the United States. The ideal candidate will weld thin materials, read and interpret operation sheets, and participate in process improvements to grow the business while meeting quality standards.

This safety sensitive role requires FAA/DOT compliance and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Qualifications include 3+ years of TIG welding experience in a production or repair setting, experience with exotic metals, and strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience TIG welding in a production or repair shop, preferably in Aerospace assembly.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Must read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and directions.
• Able to use advanced math to perform calculations and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing in English with team members and supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

• Work from part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Welding is subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through the process.

Barnes Aerospace MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder. The ideal candidate will partner with division leaders to implement processes to grow the business and drive cost reduction. If you are a self-motivated, career-minded individual with a solid background in TIG welding on thin material and with the skills to continually improve processes, please submit your resume for further consideration. Hours: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm (Fri - Sun).

Core Responsibilities:

• Experience in welding aircraft component parts ranging in thickness from .015 - .120.
• Work from part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Work is subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through process.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience TIG welding in a production or repair shop position, preferably in Aerospace assembly.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Must be able to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and/or directions.
• Able to use advanced math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Able to communicate verbally and / or in writing in English with other employees, team members and supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs occasionally without restrictions.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training is highly preferred.
