Southern Specialties is seeking skilled Welders in Tulsa to join a climate-controlled shop environment. Candidates should have MIG welding experience and be comfortable reading blueprints, with TIG experience a plus.

The role emphasizes precision, problem-solving, and quality workmanship on various metal components. The position offers a stable schedule with long weekends and a 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked, on a 3rd shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld components for sheet metal products using MIG (primary) and TIG (as needed).
• Secure parts using fixtures, jigs, and holding tables.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanneal, and exotic metals.
• Read and interpret blueprints to meet precise specifications.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot weld issues and maintain high-quality standards.

Available Shifts

• 3rd Shift:Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Includes an additional 11.5% premium on top of base pay

Responsibilities & Authorities

• Set up and weld components for sheet metal products using MIG (primary) and TIG (as needed); opportunities to learn robotic welding and laser welding
• Secure parts using fixtures, jigs, and holding tables
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanneal, and exotic metals
• Read and interpret blueprints to meet precise specifications
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Troubleshoot weld issues and maintain high-quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Proven MIG welding experience on carbon steel (required)
• TIG experience (stainless steel & aluminum) is a plus
• Fitter/Welder experience is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and effective communication

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and climb for most of the shift
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (with lifting devices when possible)
• Work in tight or confined spaces as needed
