Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Welder II for on-site work in South Chesterfield, VA. The role involves joining steel parts, sheet metal assembly, and reading blueprints. You will operate MIG and TIG welding processes and use grinders and torches as needed.

Hours: 3rd Shift; 11pm to 7am

Summary

Joins together steel parts and may do some sheet metal assembly.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Structural frame assembly
• Blueprint reading, Structural drawing reading
• Follow Engineered drawing specifications
• Use of grinder to de bur surfaces
• Use of cutting torch
• Use of square
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Ability to operate MIG and TIG. Robotic is a plus.
• Basic fabrication skills
• Understanding of 6S
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of measurements
• Basic reading/writing skills
• Understanding of weld specific tools
• Understanding of steel types and gauges
• Ability to operate iron worker
• Ability to troubleshoot minor sheet metal equipment issues
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• AWS Certification a plus

Basic Requirements
