Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in Mankato, MN, is hiring for an assembler to join the 1st shift. You will assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from detailed drawings and specifications, work from fixed procedures, and meet inspection standards. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., on-site.

Starting hourly pay is $24.24–$27.73 with bi-weekly pay. A vocational or high school diploma is required, plus job training.

Qualifications

• Vocational or high school graduate required, plus an appropriate job training to perform work and acquire knowledge of assembly, testing methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from drawings and schematics and from established procedures.
• Adjust, fit, and align parts to meet inspection standards and ensure proper soldering per requirements.
• Perform TPM tasks and support production targets with accuracy and discipline.

Job Description

Assemble mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies of standard or custom designs. Works from detailed drawings, specifications, and/or schematics. Procedures and methods are generally prescribed. Requires adjusting, fitting, and aligning to meet inspection standards. Must solder connections to appropriate standards (see Section 11(e)). Work is subject to final inspection and check. Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency. Five thousand (5,000) hours experience required to acquire skills, dexterity, and assembly techniques, become familiar with designs, materials, tools and equipment, testing devices and instruments, in order to attain proficiency and production standards. Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.

Education and Experience Requirements

Vocational or high school graduate required, plus an appropriate job training to perform work and acquire knowledge of assembly, testing methods and procedures.

Must be a sole US citizen.
