Triad Truck Equipment in Pottstown, PA is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. You will read blueprints, cut and weld metal using heavy machinery, and shape parts with precision to prevent warping.

This full-time position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for advancement. You will maintain a safe, clean work area, supervise apprentices when assigned, and ensure all work meets quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and welds from plans.
• Maintains safe welding practices and tool handling.
• Ability to operate welding machines and equipment safely.

Responsabilités

• Reads assembles and welds from blueprints.
• Prepares, assembles and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
• Monitors the welding, burning and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion or shrinkage
• Inspects work for quality
• Maintains a safe and clean work area
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
• Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Summary: Responsible for assembling pieces of metal together using heavy machinery that emits high levels of heat that melts the metal into desired shape. This position will from time to time include reading blueprints, cutting metal into shape, and smoothing molten metal to remove creases.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening
