Barnes Aerospace MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will partner with division leaders to implement processes to grow the business and drive cost reduction. Hours: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm (Fri - Sun). Must be able to read and interpret operation sheets, work from drawings, and perform repetitive welding on aerospace

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG welding experience in production or repair settings.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Ability to read operation sheets and follow complex instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and work with fractions and percentages.
• Proficient in communicating in English with team and supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft component parts with thickness in the range .015 – .120 inches.
• Work from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Work is subject to process, final inspection and testing.
• Complete paperwork tracking parts through process.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed.
