Job summary

Barnes Aerospace MRO is seeking a TIG Welder in Ohio to support the manufacture and repair of aerospace components. The ideal candidate will weld thin materials, read blueprints, and collaborate with division leaders to improve processes and reduce costs. This is a safety-sensitive role with FAA/DOT compliance requirements.

Hours: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Fri - Sun, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction across the operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years TIG welding experience in aerospace production.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Able to read operation sheets and follow complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft component parts ranging in thickness from .015 - .120.
• Read from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Work is subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through process.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed.

Barnes Aerospace MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder. The ideal candidate will partner with division leaders to implement processes to grow the business and drive cost reduction. If you are a self-motivated, career-minded individual with a solid background in TIG welding on thin material and with the skills to continually improve processes, please submit your resume for further consideration. • Work from part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.


• Work is subject to process and final inspection and testing.


• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through process.


• Performs other duties as required.


• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience TIG welding in a production or repair shop position, preferably in Aerospace assembly.


• Experience welding exotic metals.


• Must be able to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and/or directions.


• Able to use advanced math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.


• Able to communicate verbally and / or in writing in English with other employees, team members and supervision.


• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs occasionally without restrictions.


• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Technical training is highly preferred.
