Qualifications

Job Overview

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and delivered to customers in a timely manner.

A Day In The Life

1. Set-up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce acceptable quality products.
2. Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for the job; organize and plan operational duties for the shift.
3. Set-up, operate, program, and troubleshoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) and other robotic equipment in the welding process to achieve productivity and quality standards.
4. Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance or supervisors.
5. Visually inspect products, record production data, report/record scrap, and perform rework as assigned.
6. Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure process efficiency and adherence to company standards.
7. Manually repair or hand weld products below standard due to tolerance variables during robotic operations.
8. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, hand-held grinders, and other department equipment.
9. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
10. Work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications for Success

• Certified Welder or equivalent qualification, either through experience or technical certification.
• Preferred experience in 6G and/or pipe welding.
• Ability to pass the AWS Certification Test per company policy.
• Proficiency with calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
• Ability to perform SPC procedures and interpret results to adjust processes.
• Ability to navigate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
• Highly motivated with problem-solving skills.
