Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift in Evansville, WI. The role includes fabricating, inspecting and assembling metal components to exact specifications, with a $2.50/hour shift differential on top of the base pay of $28.60/hour.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with pattern of overtime and steady, hands-on training. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Welding experience and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to quality, material specs and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Join and fabricate: interpret blueprints to determine welding processes.
• Prepare and set up: position, align, fit and weld parts per specs.
• Lift and position materials using cranes or forklifts as required.
• Ensure quality: inspect parts before, during and after production.
• Contribute to improvement: participate in corrective actions and improvements.
• Maintain and organize: manage material inventory and keep workstation compliant with 5-S.
