Job summary

BlueScope Buildings in Missouri is seeking skilled welders for night shifts to fabricate and repair metal components. The role includes operating welders and related equipment, following blueprints to meet specifications, and maintaining quality through inspections.

Training and growth opportunities are available in a collaborative team setting. The position offers a $28.58/hour base pay plus a $2/hour shift differential, a $3,000 sign-on bonus distributed as $1,500 at 90 days and $1,500 at 1

• Maintain material inventory and support housekeeping and 5-S standards.

$3000 Sign On Bonus! $1500 at 90 days and $1500 at the 1-year mark

Pay for this position is $28.58/hour and will include a $2/hour shift differential

Hours are Sunday night - Friday morning 10:00pm-6:00am with some OT Required

What You’ll Do

Operate and Shape: Use machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components to meet current demands.

• Prepare and Set Up: Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Ensure Quality: Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications.
• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organisational standards, such as 5-S practices.
