Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder for the night shift to fabricate and repair metal components. You will operate machines to cut, punch, weld, and shape materials, ensuring quality and alignment with drawings and blueprints in a team setting.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, $1,500 at 90 days and $1,500 at the 1-year mark, plus a $2/hour shift differential. Benefits include health and life insurance, disability, paid time off and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Operate and shape: Use machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components to meet current demands.
• Prepare and Set Up: Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Ensure Quality: Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications.
• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
