Job summary

FOX Factory Holding Corp. in Michigan is seeking a skilled welder for our manufacturing operations. You will weld metal components together according to layouts and work orders, using brazing and arc and gas welding equipment.

Responsibilities include welding, thermal cutting, grinding, repairing parts, and preparing assemblies. Must have 2+ years welding experience, HS diploma or technical training, and strong attention to detail. Shift is 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a $1.50/hr premium.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Graduate or equivalent; Technical training or certification preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years welding experience required, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal parts using gas welding or brazing and arc welding.
• Performs thermal cutting and grinding as needed.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts and prepares components for welding.
• Positions and clamps components prior to welding.
• May inspect for cracks in engine cylinder heads using inspection tools.

Position Summary

Welds metal components together; fabricates or repairs products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.

Position Responsibilities

• Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Performs related tasks, such as thermal cutting and grinding.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
• May locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch.
• May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of welding and related safety processes

Education: HS Graduate or equivalent Technical training or certification preferred

Experience: 2+ years of prior experience welding required, preferably in manufacturing environment
