Job summary

TrueNorth Steel in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Welder II to support the safe, efficient fabrication of steel products. This mid‑level welding position operates with some supervision and requires strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will read weld symbols, measure components accurately, and weld using flat or horizontal positions while assembling subassemblies into final positions. Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm with overtime as needed; pay ranges $26.50–$28.00 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years welding experience preferred.
• Demonstrated welding skills and knowledge of welding symbols.

SHIFT:Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (OT as required)

PAY RATE: $26.50 - $28.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package

LOCATION:West Fargo, ND

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder II is a mid-level welding position, with all work being completed with some supervision.

• Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.


• Fits and welds subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds


• Accurately measures to specified tolerances


• Performs flat and horizontal welding


• Advanced knowledge of weld symbols


• Basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing


• Able to final inspect welds


• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
