Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Welder I for first shift. You will perform MIG, aluminum and TIG welding to assemble components for our power systems.

Under supervision, you will read blueprints, operate welding equipment, and support across product lines. The role requires safety compliance and teamwork; a high school diploma or certification is required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in MIG welding, aluminum and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Capable of following procedures and safety rules.
• Willingness to train and adapt to different product lines.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, aluminum, and TIG welding on fabrication parts.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and robotic welders.

Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function.ResponsibilitiesComply with the company/site safety rules.Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.Assist with robotic welder.Additional duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or Certification.Internal written and physical weld test.An understanding of welding fundamentals.Basic welding experience and/or training.Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
