Description:

A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to ensure components are welded to engineered specifications.

SCHEDULE: This is a 1st Shift position, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., 9-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need. Any Saturday work is voluntary and based on business requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Read blueprints/drawings and job routing, take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders according to setup sheets and specifications.
• Produce complex welded assemblies with close tolerances to ensure quality results.
• Inspect weldments for defects such as weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds, sharp edges, and correct weld length and size.
• Perform metal finishing, such as grinding, to remove defects and ensure surface quality.
• May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet deadlines.
