Job description

Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1stShift TIG Welder to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Schedule: 4-day workweek – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays
  • Work Environment: Culture forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform TIG welding of carts, subassemblies and tables to produce product according to procedures and meeting specifications.
  • Read parts lists, blueprints and drawings to weld and assemble products.
  • Perform all grinding, buffing and polishing operations to bring products into specifications.
  • Perform final assembly of products and sub-assemblies according to procedures and meeting specifications.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, printing labels.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with assembly operations in other areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience
  • Ability to operate pneumatic and power tools, welding equipment, polishers, buffers, and lift equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. EMF fields can interfere with some medical implants, including pacemakers.
