Description

A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications.

Subject to change based on business need. Any Saturday work is based on business need and is voluntary.

Essential Functions

• Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components/parts by operating MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.
• Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
• Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.
• Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.
• Performs regular maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure proper working order.
• May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.
• Adheres to all safety standards and regulations.

SCHEDULE

This is a 1st Shift position, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., 9-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need. Any Saturday work is based on business need and is voluntary.

Requirements

• Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience and/or Training: At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing/welding experience preferred.
• Skills: Basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred. Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale.
