Job summary

Crenlo in Greeneville, TN seeks a welder to plan, position, and weld fabricated components into protective structures. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and weld to AWS/ANSI standards while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities include reviewing work orders, securing parts, performing checks on finished work, and maintaining compliance with quality manuals. Prior weld experience and training through Crenlo are advantageous in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and complete Crenlo weld training.
• Weld certification to AWS/ANSI standards required or pursued.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Lays out, positions, bolts, clamps, and tack-weld parts to secure in position.
• Sets up equipment per blueprints and makes necessary adjustments.
• Performs welding per Blueprints; OPI's, Quality Manual and guidelines.
• Grinds excess welds and sharp corners with a pneumatic grinder.
• Performs periodic quality checks and inspects finished product.
• Other duties as assigned

SUMMARY :
Plans, positions, and welds fabricated and cast components to roll over/fall over protective structures. Performs work primarily on sheet metal utilizing pulse and/or short circuit welding. Produces a product to customer quality standards in a safe and efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives and reviews instructions, prints, and work order for the job.
• Lays out, positions, bolts, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure into position within fixture for welding.
• Sets up and makes adjustments to equipment and parts per blueprints.
• Performs welding responsibilities on product outlined in Blueprints; OPI's, Quality Manual, or any additional performance guidelines.
• Grinds excess weld, sharp corners, or sharp protrusions using a portable pneumatic grinder.
• Makes periodic quality checks as required and inspects finished product for completeness.
• Other duties as assigned

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Required to obtain weld certification to AWS/ANSI standards.
• Basic knowledge of welding procedures,
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, work order instructions; weld symbols, and operate required tools involved in position.
• Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
• Ability to convert standard units of measure to metric and metric to standard in addition to basic math skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of Crenlo Engineered Cabs weld training program requirements
• Crenlo basic safety training
• Prior weld experience a plus
