Job summary

Crenlo Engineered Cabs in Greeneville, TN is seeking a Welder 2 to join our fabrication team. You will plan, position, and weld components to produce parts that meet our quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, following welding procedures, and maintaining safety. A weld certification to AWS/ANSI standards is required or pursued as part of the role. This position emphasizes precision and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must obtain weld certification to AWS/ANSI standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Basic math skills and measurement conversions (units).

Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews instructions, prints, and work order for the job.
• Lays out, positions, bolts, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure into position within fixture for welding.
• Sets up and makes adjustments to equipment and parts per blueprints.
• Performs welding responsibilities on product outlined in Blueprints; OPI's, Quality Manual, or any additional performance guidelines.
• Grinds excess weld, sharp corners, or sharp protrusions using a portable pneumatic grinder.
• Makes periodic quality checks as required and inspects finished product for completeness.
• Other duties as assigned

Summary

Plans, positions, and welds fabricated and cast components to roll over/fall over protective structures. Performs work primarily on sheet metal utilizing pulse and/or short circuit welding. Produces a product to customer quality standards in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews instructions, prints, and work order for the job.

• Ability to convert standard units of measure to metric and metric to standard in addition to basic math skills.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of Crenlo Engineered Cabs weld training program requirements
• Crenlo basic safety training
• Prior weld experience a plus
