Job summary

Birmingham Search Group is seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time, 1st shift position with one of our clients on DIRECT HIRE terms. You will perform MIG and TIG welding, read blueprints, and set up equipment to join metal parts with high quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of welding experience, and the ability to work both independently and in a team, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years welding experience.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding tools and equipment.

Job Summary:

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding techniques to join metal parts and components together. You will work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys, and use various tools and equipment to complete your tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG and TIG welding, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Inspect and troubleshoot welding equipment and make necessary repairs

• Must be able to wear protective gear, including welding helmet and gloves
