Job summary

Stock Manufacturing & Design in Cleves, OH is seeking a Welder to join a family-run fabricating team. Under the direction of the Lead Welder, you will perform MIG welding and fabricate various metals for production, with a focus on quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of welding experience, MIG required, and experience reading blueprints. TIG and aluminum welding are a plus, and overtime is common at this location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-3+ years welding experience outside of school setting is required.
• TIG and Aluminum welding preferred.
• MIG welding experience is required.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and routers.
• Experience using measuring tools including tape measures and calipers.
• Experience operating a jib crane preferred.

Responsibilities

• Moves between production assignments under the direction of leadership.
• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals using MIG welding processes.
• Reads and comprehends blueprints and welding process specifications when necessary.
• Fits up complicated but standard structures and weldments involving multiple parts and details.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

The Welder will be based at the Cleves location. The hours are Monday – Thursday from 5am-3:00pm, There is a high probability of required overtime.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Lead Welder and Welding Operations Supervisor, the Welder is responsible for moving between production assignments, MIG welding, and fabricating various metals for production.

Job Duties

• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals using MIG welding processes.
• Reads and comprehends blueprints and welding process specifications when necessary.
• Fit up complicated but standard structures and weldments involving a considerable number of parts and details.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-3+ years of welding experience, outside of school setting is required
• TIG and Aluminum welding preferred
• MIG welding experience is required.
• Experience using measuring tools including tape measures and calipers.
• Experience operating a jib crane preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret routers, blueprints, drawings, and machine sketches preferred.
