Cornerstone Building Brands in Ballinger, TX is seeking a Welder I to join our manufacturing team. The role involves fabrication, grinding, chipping, and finishing, with daily equipment operation and safety adherence.

You will maintain inspection logs and support continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include 18+ years, a high school diploma or GED, and welding experience; certification for forklift and overhead crane is required or to be obtained within 90

• Welder I with 1–3 years welding experience.
• Ability to obtain Welding certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to become certified to operate forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
• Combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to safely lift 100 lbs.

Job Description

Base pay rate is $19.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily activities resulting in continuous efficiency and process improvements.
• Perform fabrication work such as grinding, chipping and finishing.
• Operate machinery and tools in an efficient and safe manner.
• Maintain daily inspection log and daily piece counts.
• Comply with all safety requirements and use all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Clean work area daily and perform preventative maintenance and equipment checks.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welder I – one (1) to three (3) years welding experience.
• Ability to obtain Welding certificate within initial ninety (90) days of employment is required.
• Must be able to become certified to operate forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to safely flip I-beam.
• Ability to safely lift & carry 100lbs on an occasional basis.
