Job summary

Tri-Arc Manufacturing in Blawnox, PA is hiring steel MIG welders for 1st and 2nd shifts. The role involves setting up and operating MIG welders, assembling and welding parts, reading specs, and preparing components for bonding.

Candidates must pass a welding test and bring their own gear; 520 probation hours lead to United Steelworkers Union eligibility. We offer a competitive starting wage: $24.33 for 1st shift and $24.93 for 2nd shift, with a $0.60/hour shift premium, plus a benefits package

Qualifications

• Must pass welding test and bring own welding gear.
• Opportunity to join United Steelworkers Union after 520 probationary hours.
• Must be able to work either 1st shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm) or 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm) and adapt as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
• Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together (usually in fixtures).
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set up equipment and weld parts, using MIG welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Operate various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Tri-Arc is seeking steel MIG welders for 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - additional $0.60 per hour) for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate of $24.33(1st shift) and $24.93 (2nd Shift). Tri-Arc also offers a generous benefit package, and the right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. All candidates are required to take and pass a welding test and bring their own welding gear.
