Job summary

Tri-Arc Manufacturing is hiring skilled steel MIG welders to join two shifts at our Blawnox, PA plant, just outside Pittsburgh. Wages start at $25.33/hour for 1st shift and $25.93/hour for 2nd shift, with a $0.60/hour shift differential for the latter.

We offer competitive wages and a generous benefits package, with an opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after probation. You will work on real, hands-on projects that keep people safe, and have chances to grow into a true craftsman.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform MIG welding and operate welding machines.
• Demonstrated welding proficiency and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend welding machines to join components and fabricate metal products and assemblies.
• Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures for bonding, heat-treating, or soldering.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together, usually in fixtures.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using MIG welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Operate punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube-bending equipment.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
