Job summary

IGE Fans is seeking an experienced MIG and Stick welder to join our Westmont, IL manufacturing facility. You will weld mild steel, stainless, and various alloys, layout workpieces from drawings, and set up welds using the company’s tools. Training will cover our ERP tablet system for process completion.

Minimum 3–5 years of welding experience is required, certifications are a plus, and there are comprehensive benefits with potential overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with steel fabrication and welding (MIG, Stick, stainless)
• Read blueprints or mechanical drawings to set up and weld parts
• Use electric hoist to raise and lower parts to worktable
• Use hand plasma cutter
• Welding certification is a plus but not required

We are experiencing significant growth and seek a MIG and Stick welder to join our team.

Role Description

Experienced MIG and stick welder to weld with mild steel, stainless and various other high grade alloys. Minimum 3-5 years of experience required welding similar materials and must have the ability to layout workpieces per mechanical drawings. Must be able to read mechanical assembly drawings, set up own welding machine, use hand and power tools common to welder. Will be trained to use the company’s ERP system on a tablet in order to process completed work.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based at IGE's manufacturing facility & headquarters in Westmont, IL. The facility is a 3-minute walk from the Westmont BNSF Metra train station.

Qualifications

The starting pay range for this role is $28-35/hr. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.At IGE, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case
