Clayton is seeking a skilled welder for the Frame Shop to weld frames for new homes. You will MIG weld, align and assemble components to exact specifications, and operate a plasma cutter for I-beam cutting as needed.
Attention to safety and quality is essential in a fast-paced plant environment. Ideal candidates will have MIG welding experience, the ability to read drawings, and a willingness to collaborate with production teams.

Frame Shop Area Manager
Welders in the Frame Shop MIG weld frames, stick weld to camber and use a plasma cutter to cut I-beam for the homes built for Plant 995, Plant 996, and the Middlebury plant.
Production teams ensure that all homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, and building codes, while ensuring high-quality standards in a timely manner.
Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping your assigned area clean, and orderly.
Assist your Team Leader and Area Manager to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, and follow the attendance rules and regulations of the plant.
1. Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50lbs., as well as other physical duties as needed.
2. You must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members.
3. Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.
1. STIG & MIG welding experience required.
2. High school diploma or GED preferred.
