Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Production Team Member in Middlebury, Indiana, to support our manufacturing workflow on the First Shift. The role reports to the Department Manager / Production and involves following standard production methods to maintain efficiency and safety in the home-building process.

As a full-time hourly position, you will be part of a team focused onSafety, productivity, and stewardship of assets, with opportunities for growth within Clayton’s manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Productivity: Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
• Stewardship: Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Planning: Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Position Summary: The Home Building Team Members perform the manufacturing production operations assigned to each department in the home building process. The position follows standard production methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
