Join Our Team as a Welder at Epiroc!

The Welder’s primary responsibility is the welding of all components to manufacture heavy hydraulic attachments.

Work Type (Onsite)

This position will be based onsite at our Two Harbors, MN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

Shift Timings: 1 opening on EACH shift

1st Shift: 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday. 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM-1:30 AM, Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform GMAW/MIG/Wire feed welding to AWS D1.1 standards.
  • Perform standard work and tasks common in a production welding environment following LaBounty procedures, quality and safety policies.
  • Layout, fit-up, measure, and tack weldments.
  • Arc air welding (experience beneficial, will train).
  • Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and adhere to all safety programs and policies.
  • Must be able to communicate fully with supervisor(s) and coworker(s).
  • Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provide feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the quality of manufacturing processes.
  • Closeout shop orders and follow the production schedule to facilitate timely part delivery/availability.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area, including end-of-shift clean-up following 5S standards.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance, for daily equipment functionality.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.

The salary for this position is between $21.15 and $24.58 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office: MS Windows—Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable use of standard repair and hand tools.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to use a tape measure, level, angle finders, and squares.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures and directions.
  • Ability to handle all materials safely using a Jib hoist, overhead crane, and forklifts, including lifting devices (chains, straps, slings).
  • An eye for detail and precision.
  • Ability to operate all welding equipment if assigned.
  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Intermittent bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, climbing, lifting/lowering.
  • Intermittent use of hand/wrist.
