Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Welder responsible for setup on welding components ranging from similar to dissimilar metals, requiring skilled technique and attention to blueprint specifications.

You will MIG weld to blueprints, perform TIG, Arc, and stud welds, prepare machines, ensure penetration, and verify finishes and measurements, with emphasis on safety and quality. This onsite role requires ability to read manuals, basic math, and independent work.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate; discuss with groups of people.
• Ability to calculate figures and measurements; apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Basic PC skills and ability to access work orders and blueprints.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Setup weldments per blueprint specifications.
• MIG weld to blueprint specifications.
• TIG, Arc, Stud weld and torch usage as required.
• Properly set up welding machines for penetration.
• Clean welds and check for imperfections.
• Ensure proper finish squareness and conformance to specs.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints and BOMs.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing setup on all entry level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys requiring a high degree of skill and welding technique or involving a considerable number of parts and/or smaller more complicated weldments where alignment, dimensions and weld quality must conform to strict quality standards.

Major Responsibilities

• Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, correct corresponding machine order and general inspection requirements.
• Setup weldments per blueprint specifications.
• Mig weld to blueprint specifications.
• Tig, Arc, Stud weld and utilization of a torch.
• Properly setup welding machines to obtain proper welding penetration.
• Clean welds to check for imperfections.
• Ensure proper finish squareness.
• Interpretation of work orders, blueprints and bills of material.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Education / Experience / Skills

• General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work. Occasional check of work while in progress. Work is reviewed upon completion.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
