Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Maryland is seeking an entry‑level welder to set up and operate TIG and MIG welding on steel, galvanized, and stainless parts. You will read work orders, align components, and ensure weld quality meets strict standards.

Day shift is Tuesday–Friday, 5:00am–3:30pm, with Mondays off while training. Training schedule during first 30 days runs Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm, Fridays off. This onsite role offers a comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school.
  • or three to six months of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid welding certificate preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Tig welding 90% and mig welding 10% using steel, galvanized, and stainless materials.
  • Weld within teams of two Associates per project.
  • Set up welding machines properly.
  • Prepare before welding: wire belt ripping and trimming (70%).
  • Ensure clean welds and check for imperfections.
  • Accurately interpret work orders and coordinate with QA.
  • Move within the constraints of estimates and orders.
  • Wire crimping and operate machines.
  • Training will be provided.

Work Model

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing setup on all entry‑level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys, requiring a high degree of skill and welding technique or involving a considerable number of parts and/or smaller, more complicated weldments, where alignment, dimensions, and weld quality must conform to strict quality standards.

Shift & Compensation

Day Shift: Tuesday - Friday (5:00am - 3:30 pm)

*Mondays Off

Compensation: $20 - $24/hr.

Training Schedule
  • *First 30 days training schedule > Monday - Thursday (5:00am - 3:30 pm)
  • *Fridays Off
Responsibilities
  • Tig welding 90% and mig welding 10% using multiple types of materials (steel, galvanized, and a range of stainless)
  • Welding teams of two Associates per project.
  • Properly set up welding machines
  • Preparation before Welding: 70% consists of ripping and trimming various specs of wire belts.
  • Clean welds to check for imperfections.
  • Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, and general inspection requirements of metal chain drive belts.
  • Accurate interpretation of work orders and collaboration with co-workers and QA associates.
  • Work within the parameters of an estimate and work order.
  • Wire crimping and machine operating.
  • Training will be provided.
Qualifications
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school.
  • or three to six months of related experience and/or training.
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred but not required
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions, read and interpret
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively and present information in small groups of fellow Associates
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems.
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as a tape measure and occasionally, a dial caliber, plus welding, and torch equipment
  • Attention to all safety policies, programs, and practices is a must
  • Basic computer skills are needed for reviewing and performing shop orders.
Physical Requirements

This position works in a Manufacturing environment and requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear, and talk; use fingers and hands, with good hand and finger dexterity to handle or feel controls or products; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
