Job summary

Aerotek in Gatesville, TX is seeking a MIG Welder for a contract-to-hire role in an onsite shop. You will read blueprints, perform MIG welding and fabrication on carbon steel components, and work in small teams to meet production goals.

The position offers weekly pay with monthly bonus opportunities and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and boot allowance. Hours are 6:30 AM–5:00 PM Mon-Thu, with overtime and occasional Saturdays; pay ranges from $20.29–$26.37/hr

Qualifications

• 6+ months of MIG welding experience (school or work experience accepted).
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately.
• Experience welding carbon steel.

Responsibilities

• Begin each day with a 6:30 AM safety meeting.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Work in small, highly collaborative teams (2-3 welders).

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of MIG welding experience (school or work experience accepted)
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately
• Experience welding carbon steel

Preferred Qualifications

• Flux-core welding experience
• Ability to pass a weld bend test and perform bevel welds
• TIG welding experience
• Experience welding stainless steel

Work Environment & Schedule

• Open-air, climate-regulated welding facility
• Consistent work schedule with overtime opportunities available
• Hours: Monday-Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.29 - $26.37/hr.
