Job description

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Welders are responsible for the fabrication of Custom Cubes’ projects. Welders are knowledgeable in various trades and are versatile in their skillset. Welders are passionate about quality and precision, and in turn, customer satisfaction. They are skilled and careful, ensuring safe work practices are prioritized.

Health and Safety is every employee’s responsibility. All employees are required to follow Custom Cubes’ safety standards and carry out all tasks with a safety-focused attitude and behaviours.

Responsibilities:
  • Welding and fabricating common and custom components based on shop drawings.
  • Install components following the project layout plans.
  • Troubleshooting fabrication issues and involving the Production Supervisor to resolve issues, where necessary.
  • Keeping the common work area and construction areas organized and tidy during construction, as needed.
  • Working collaboratively with other Fabricators to complete projects.
  • Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in working safely with a variety of power tools and welding equipment.
  • CWB Certified.
  • 3 years of welding experience on job sites.
  • General knowledge gained from experience, mig welding and metal fabrication.
  • Team-oriented and positive attitude.
  • Ability to keep job site tidy and organized.
  • Learning and growth mindset; willing to undergo training if necessary.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Strong attention to detail.
