Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to perform welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment at our facilities. You will operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes, inspect welds, and read blueprints to ensure quality outcomes.

Work involves coordinating with plant teams, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to reducing downtime through proactive maintenance and precise fabrication work.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment
  • Safely operate welding machines, cutting torches, and hand tools
  • Inspect equipment and welds to ensure quality and operational reliability
  • Identify repair needs and support maintenance activities to reduce downtimeFollow all safety standards and work collaboratively with plant teams
What Are We Looking For
  • Demonstrated ability to perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding safely and accurately
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship in an industrial environment
Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
