Job summary

Hi-Tech Furnace Systems, Inc. in Shelby Township, MI, is seeking a skilled shop welder to join our fabrication team. You will measure, cut, thread pipe (stainless steel and PVC), and weld steel according to drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has MIG and TIG welding experience, a welding certificate, and the ability to read mechanical drawings. You will operate hand and power tools, use a forklift if needed, and maintain a clean, safe work area daily.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Measure, cut, thread pipe; both stainless steel and PVC. Measure, cut, weld steel. Grinding, deburring, drilling & tapping, sawing. Follow instructions and maintain a clean work area.

Key elements

Continuous standing, bending, and kneeling on concrete floor for most of the work day. Must be capable of lifting up to 10 lbs. constantly, 11 to 25 lbs. frequently, and 26 to 50 lbs. occasionally during the workday.

Knowledge, skills and abilities (Minimum qualifications)
  • MIG and TIG welding experience, minimum of 1 year in a shop environment
