Job description

Description

• Operates machinery such as grinders, band saws, etc.
• Loads metal parts/tubing into fixtures
• Ensures proper fitment of parts
• Tack welds parts together
• MIG & TIG welds parts under supervision of more experienced welders
• Stages jobs for Welder II’s and III’s
• Assists Welder II & III as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
• Reads blueprints/drawings
• Takes/reads measurements
• Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, clamps, etc.

Requirements

• 1 – 2 years of MIG & TIG welding experience
• Experience using saws, welder machines, tools, etc.
• Knowledge of PPE (face shields, welder helmets, gloves, steel toes, curtains, etc)
• Must have a commitment to excellent quality standards.
• Must have a commitment to Safety.
• Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Must possess a helpful, friendly & positive attitude.
• High School diploma/ GED required
• Experience welding stainless steel is a plus
• Welding Certification Program (AWS) is a plus
