Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Robot Tech for the 1st shift at our CE Facility in Salina, KS. The role works Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

You will set up, operate and program welding robots and perform MIG welding across operations, while following OSHA safety rules and wearing PPE. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential to maintain lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with setup, operation and programming of welding robots.
• Working knowledge of MIG welding operations.
• Willing to work overtime and occasional off-shifts for robot programming.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Weld Robot Tech – 1st Shift – Salina, KS Great Plains Manufacturing currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Weld Robot Tech at our CE Facility in Salina, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Setup, operation and programming of various welding robots
• Perform all aspects of industrial MIG welding operations
• Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Experience with setup, operation and programming of various welding robots
• Working knowledge of all aspects of industrial MIG welding operations
• Willing to work overtime and occasional off-shifts as required for robot programming
• Experience in Automated Manufacturing helpful
• Have excellent communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excel in fast paced, high pressure situations
• Ability to be flexible, work with interruptions and shift priorities as needed
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent Time Management & Manufacturing Organizational Skills
• Drive culture of Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change to streamline processes
• Familiarity with AS400 Helpful
