The role involves operating welding machinery, inspecting welds, maintaining equipment, and mentoring junior staff to meet production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a particular focus on steel and metal alloys. 1. Proven experience as a welder with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
2. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
3. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
4. Deftness and attention to detail.
5. Proficient in English.
6. Professional Certification in welding from a recognized institution.
7. Experience with steel and metal alloys.
8. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
9. Knowledge of different welding techniques (TIG, MIG, MMA etc.)
10. Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
