Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and join metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Perform welding using MIG, TIG, flux-core, arc, and other applicable methods.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, beveling, and fitting components.
  • Align and position parts prior to welding.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy; correct defects as needed.
  • Use welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Record welding information and production documentation when required.
  • Work closely with production teams to keep jobs moving.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

If you’re comfortable with multiple welding processes, can read blueprints, and take pride in producing strong, clean welds, this could be a great next move.

You’ll work with fabricated metal components, technical drawings, welding equipment, and production teams to complete high-quality assemblies safely and accurately.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Welder, you’ll fabricate and join metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

Your day may include:

  • Performing welding using processes such as MIG, TIG, flux-core, arc, and other applicable welding methods

  • Selecting the proper welding process based on material and job requirements

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, and specifications

  • Preparing materials by cleaning, grinding, beveling, and fitting components

  • Aligning and positioning parts prior to welding

  • Inspecting completed welds for quality and accuracy

  • Identifying weld defects and completing corrections or rework as needed

  • Using welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment

  • Performing basic maintenance and inspections on welding equipment

  • Recording welding information and production documentation when required

  • Working closely with production and other departments to keep jobs moving

  • Following all established safety procedures and PPE requirements

Welding Experience We’re Looking For

Experience with MIG snd TIG and oneor more of the following is valuable:

  • MIG / GMAW

  • TIG / GTAW

  • Flux-Cored Arc Welding

  • Stick / Arc Welding

  • Gas welding

  • Structural or industrial fabrication

  • Production welding

Candidates with experience across multiple processes are especially encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For

This could be a strong fit if you have:

  • Professional welding or fabrication experience

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment and fabrication tools

  • Experience working with different metals and material thicknesses

  • Strong fit-up and material preparation skills

  • Ability to identify weld defects and make necessary corrections

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

AWS certification, trade-school welding credentials, or other welding certifications are a plus, but relevant hands-on experience may also be considered.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable:

  • Standing for extended periods

  • Bending, reaching, and working in different positions

  • Handling and moving metal components

  • Performing repetitive hands-on welding and fabrication tasks

  • Working around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and manufacturing machinery

  • Wearing required PPE
