About the Role

The Welder will lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, utilizing welding techniques, metallurgy knowledge, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work required of Welder “B”.
• Execute all types of submerged arc welding.
• Read blueprints and perform layout work independently on complex jobs.
• Handle special repair and construction tasks as needed.
• Conduct maintenance welding as required.
• Assign work in the absence of the group leader or foreman.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
