SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components, meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly
FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified.
- Weld thin wall tube applications.
- Have experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Weld spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, etc.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind spare parts as necessary to meet technical and quality requirements.
- Control fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent issues like overheating, distortion, or shrinkage.
- Examine finished products and spare parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding.
- Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed.
- Possess good mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints.
- Potential contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure environmental responsibility by proper disposal of waste, recyclables, hazardous waste, etc.
- Perform other tasks as required to support Lincoln Industries' values and drivers.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
- Expected: High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years related welding experience and/or training.
- Preferred: 5 years production welding experience and AWS certification.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret work instructions and safety procedures.
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
