Job summary

Aerotek in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Production Welder to fabricate and assemble high-quality components in a large, climate-controlled facility. Strong MIG welding skills and the ability to read blueprints are essential; you will work in a fast-paced environment on mild steel and occasional stainless steel.

This contract-to-hire role offers pay of $22-$25 per hour, a night shift 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, Friday through Sunday, overtime opportunities, and a full 40-hour workweek paid; benefits may apply

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain welding equipment and related tools.
• Track and replenish welding consumables as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.

Position Overview

As a Production Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This role requires strong MIG welding skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel and occasional stainless steel materials
• Prepare materials through measuring, layout, fitting, tacking, grinding, sanding, and finishing
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and related tools
• Track and replenish welding consumables as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience working with large parts and equipment such as overhead cranes or rolling machinery

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Additional welding experience with SAW, TIG, or Oxy-Acetylene processes
• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, autobody repair, mechanical assembly, or related skilled trades
• Familiarity with welding automation systems and Lean Manufacturing practices
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Dependable work ethic and positive team-oriented attitude

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
