Job summary

Creer HVAC and Sheet Metal Works is seeking a skilled Welder for their custom sheet metal shop in Provo, UT. The candidate will perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless, weld thin materials with precision, and maintain control of torch angle, filler metal, and heat input to ensure quality welds.

The role requires familiarity with shielding gases and the ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols, while adhering to PPE and ventilation requirements for stainless and exotic

Qualifications

• Tig welding of aluminum and stainless required.
• Ability to weld thin materials without warping.
• Strong control of torch angle, filler metal and heat input.
• Knowledge of shielding gases (argon, helium, mixes).
• Ability to weld in all welding positions (1G–6G).

Qualifications:

• • Tig Weld aluminum and stainless

  • Ability to weld thin materials without warping.

  • Strong control over torch angle, filler metal, and heat input.

  • Knowledge of shielding gases (argon, helium, mixes).

  • Ability to weld in all positions (1G–6G).

• Material Knowledge

  • Stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, titanium.

  • Understanding material preparation, cleaning, and fit-up.

• Blueprint & Welding Symbol Reading

  • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.

• Safety

  • PPE (gloves, hood, respirators).

  • Knowledge of ventilation requirements (especially for stainless steel and exotic alloys).
