Job summary

A prominent recycling company in Orange, CA is seeking a Welder to perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of welding experience, knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to work in various physical conditions. Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in welding processes.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
• Knowledge of welding fabrication tools.

Skills

3+ years’ experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding

Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Education

Graduation from a trade school preferred

Essential Responsibilities of Welder

• Performs repair and maintenance assignments for a metal recycling shredder and other industrial equipment.
• Welds various steel components with ARC and MIG welding equipment.
• Cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components to fit specific dimensions.
• Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts.
• Maintains accurate records of all work performed.
• Work from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.

Qualifications of a Welder

• High school diploma or GED; graduation from a trade school preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding on a variety of materials.
• Recycling industry experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices; understanding of potential job hazards.
• Ability to safely work at varying heights, in tight quarters, and varying positions.
• Bi‑lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
