Job summary

Ingram Marine Group's Ingram Barge unit in Columbus, KY is seeking a Welder to join our fleet maintenance team. Whether certified or starting out, we invest in your training and development for the next level, focusing on welding, cutting, fitting, and general repair of barges.

This role requires safety awareness, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and good communication with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reading and writing English to comply with USCG requirements.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety at the forefront.
• Strong communication and teamwork across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Welding, cutting, and fitting.
• Operate forklift.

• Inspect and pump barges.
• Route dock cleanup.

Job Description

Ingram Barge is seeking a Welder for our team in Columbus, KY. Whether you are a Certified Welder, or just starting, Ingram will invest in your training and development for the next level.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram's fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!

What you'll be doing:

• Welding/Cutting/Fitting
• Operating forklift
• Operating hydraulic crane
• Inspecting and pumping barges
• Route dock clean up
• Other duties as requested

Required Qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Display excellent communication skills
• Can walk and lift for extended periods
• Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
