Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a reliable Welder in Ogden, UT to produce high-quality welds across various materials while following safety regulations and SOPs. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and an organized workspace.

You will work with MIG, TIG, and Stick processes and read welding drawings to ensure precise results. The position offers a daytime schedule with early starts and requires you to pass the AWS D1.1 weld test.

Qualifications

• Active AWS D1.1 weld certification (or equivalent)
• Experience using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
• Ability to read welding symbols and blueprints
• Must provide own helmet, gloves, tape measure, square, wrench, toolbox
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand 10–12 hours

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, skilled Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welds across various materials while strictly following safety regulations and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate takes initiative, works well in a team environment, and maintains an organized work area.

Pay and Schedule

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (3-day weekends!)

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all company safety regulations and policies.
• Produce sound welds in most grades of material using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Read and interpret welding symbols and blueprints accurately.
• Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and combination square.
• Perform accurate hand-cutting of metals using oxyfuel or plasma torches.
• Pass AWS D1.1 weld certification testing.
• Learn, apply, and follow established procedures, SOPs, and verbal instructions from leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Perform other shop duties as assigned by management.

• Weld Test: Must be able to pass an in-person weld test in MIG, TIG, and Stick.
• Ability to pass the AWS D1.1 weld certification.
• Solid understanding of welding symbols and layout procedures.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and initiative to learn.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift and stand for a full shift of 10-12 hours
